Home Terms & Services
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These Terms & Services explain two related things. The first is how you may use the Get Betta Soon website at getbettasoon.com. The second is how a home improvement project is offered, scoped, and carried out if you later hire us by email. Please read them with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or send a project request.
1. Who we are
Get Betta Soon is a home improvement studio. We plan and finish kitchens, bathrooms, interior and exterior painting, flooring, carpentry and built-ins, windows and doors, decks and outdoor living areas, and the lighting and small hardware that make those rooms pleasant to use. The studio is reached by email at hello@getbettasoon.com during Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We do not publish a telephone number or a street address, and we do not accept walk-in visits.
In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Get Betta Soon. “You” means the person using the website or, where a project is discussed, the household or owner who would authorize work in a home. If you write on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you are allowed to share details about that home.
2. Using the website
The website is a static brochure. It describes services, shows photographs of finished rooms, offers planning ranges, and gives you a way to study how we work before you email us. Pages may be updated, reordered, or removed without notice. Planning figures on the pricing page are illustrations of scale. They are not an offer that we must accept, and they are not a price we must honor for your particular rooms.
You may read the pages, share links to them, and print a copy for your own household. You may not copy the site’s text, logo, or layout for your own commercial site, scrape the pages in bulk, or present our project photographs as your own work. You may not attempt to probe, disrupt, or overload the host that serves these files.
The site is provided as a convenience. Colors on a screen are not the colors in a room. Dimensions in a story are not a survey of your house. Advice in an article is general education, not a specification for your project and not a promise that the same detail is right for your walls, moisture, or structure.
3. Forms and messages
Contact, estimate, testimonial, subscribe, unsubscribe, and footer forms run entirely in your browser. They check that required fields are present and that an email address looks properly formed. When the check succeeds, the page shows this confirmation: “Thank You! one of our representative will contact you”. That sentence is a browser message. Submitting a form does not transmit your words to our servers, does not create an account, and does not by itself schedule a visit or add you to a mailing list.
If you want a person to read about your project, your story, or your subscription request, email hello@getbettasoon.com. We treat that email as the request. Please do not send payment card numbers, government identity numbers, medical information, or passwords. We do not need them to plan a room, and we do not want them in the mailbox.
We may refuse, ignore, or ask you to resend a message that is abusive, incomplete, or about work we do not perform. A reply, if we send one, usually comes within one business day during published hours. A reply is a conversation, not yet a contract.
4. Project notes and subscriptions
Occasional letters about kitchens, baths, color, floors, and outdoor rooms are sent only to people who ask by email. The subscribe page explains this. You may stop those letters at any time by emailing the word Unsubscribe to hello@getbettasoon.com or by using the unsubscribe page as a reminder of that step. Stopping the letters does not cancel a project thread that is already open about your home. Project mail and note-list mail are separate.
We do not sell mailing lists. We do not ask you to forward letters, and a letter is not a quote for your house. If a letter describes a method, it is general. Your walls, finishes, and household may need a different approach, which is why a written scope follows a visit rather than a blog post.
5. Estimates are not automatic contracts
After we understand the rooms, we may send a written estimate. That document names the rooms, the work included, the work excluded, the materials basis, the planning schedule, and the payment steps. You are not obliged to accept it. We are not obliged to start work until you accept it in writing, by replying in the email thread with a clear agreement, and any starting payment named in that estimate has been received by the method the estimate names.
Conversations, mood boards, and visits are part of planning. They do not lock a price. A figure mentioned aloud is superseded by the written estimate. If two documents conflict, the later written estimate that you accepted controls, unless a signed change note says otherwise.
Estimates expire on the date they state. Material prices and crew calendars move. If you accept after the expiry, we may reissue the page. Please do not order your own appliances or custom pieces against a draft. If you do, you carry the risk that the opening, the color, or the schedule will not match the final scope.
6. Scope of home improvement work
Our work is remodeling and finishing: kitchens, baths, paint, floors, trim, built-ins, windows and doors, decks, and related finish details. The accepted estimate is the full list of what we will do. Anything not written there is not included, even if it appeared in a photograph on this website or in a sample board that you liked but did not select.
We do not hold ourselves out as structural engineers, and we do not quietly absorb engineering, major electrical service replacement, or roof structure into a finish contract. Where a licensed specialist must lead a portion of the work, the estimate will say so. If we discover conditions that make the agreed work unsafe or unwise, we will pause and write to you. Examples include soft subfloors, active leaks, or framing that will not carry a fixture you hoped to hang. We would rather stop than cover a problem with a new surface.
Unless the estimate says otherwise, we do not move pianos, safes, or large collections; we do not kennel pets; we do not provide security monitoring; and we do not guarantee that a particular product brand will remain available. Substitutions of equal role are proposed in writing if a product is discontinued.
7. Materials and selections
You will be asked to choose finishes from samples viewed in the house whenever the surface is large enough to matter. Paint color, sheen, tile, wood tone, metal, and hardware are your selections once you confirm them by email. We are not responsible for a preference that changes after materials are ordered, except through a written change that may alter price and time.
Natural materials vary. Wood grain, stone movement, and tile caliber will not match a single photograph pixel for pixel. We will show a representative sample and install within ordinary trade tolerance. If you need a book-matched or sequenced pattern, that requirement must be in the estimate before the material is ordered.
Long-lead items are identified when we know about them. A project start can be delayed, by agreement, until those items are in hand. We do not store large quantities of your materials beyond the period the estimate describes. Unused leftovers that you have paid for remain yours, and we will leave them in the place you name.
8. Changes
Homes reveal themselves once a room is open. If you ask for a change, or if a hidden condition requires one, we will describe the change, the cost difference, and the time difference in writing before we build it. Email approval is enough if it clearly says yes to that description. Work performed without that note, at your verbal request on site, will still be confirmed by email the same day so the record stays complete.
You may also remove items from the scope before they are performed or ordered. We will credit the unused portion, less any restocking or design time already spent, as the change note states. A credit is not cash unless the estimate’s payment terms say so.
9. Your home during the work
You agree to give the crew safe access to the rooms in the scope during the scheduled windows, to clear fragile and sentimental items, and to tell us about pets, allergies, alarms, and household members who must not be disturbed. We agree to protect floors and passages, to leave a usable path at the end of each working day, and to keep tools gathered.
You remain responsible for the household: children, guests, and animals in the work area. Please keep them out of rooms where tools, wet finishes, or open stairs are present. We will mark those rooms, but a mark is not a babysitter.
Utilities, including water and power needed for ordinary tools, are assumed available unless you tell us they are not. If a utility outage that you control stops the day, the schedule moves. If we cause damage beyond ordinary trade wear, we will tell you and repair it or propose a fair remedy in writing. Pre-existing damage should be pointed out before we start so it is not mistaken for our work.
We do not accept house keys as a standing arrangement unless the estimate says how they are held and returned. Many projects are done while someone is home. If a key is required, it is returned at the end of the phase or sooner if you ask.
10. Time
Schedules in an estimate are plans, not guarantees of a particular hour. Weather, material delays, inspections by others, and changes you request can move a date. We will email you when a date moves and what the new window is. We do not pay penalties or hotel costs for delay unless a specific estimate you accepted says otherwise in plain language.
Your selections have dates too. If a color or a fixture is still open past the selection date, the crew may pause that portion rather than guess. Pause time can push the finish. We would rather wait than install a finish you have not approved.
11. Payment
This website does not take payments and does not store card numbers. If you hire us, the accepted estimate names the amounts and the moments they are due, such as a start portion, a midpoint, and a finish portion held until the punch list is complete. Pay only by the method that estimate names. We will not ask you to divert a payment to a new account by a surprise message. If you ever receive a payment instruction that does not match the estimate, email us before sending anything and treat the surprise instruction as suspicious.
Amounts are described in the estimate. Planning guides on the website may use the label USD so the scale is clear. That label is not a statement about where a home is located, and it does not add a tax by itself. Any tax that must be collected will be stated on the estimate rather than invented on this page.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is current. Pausing is not a cancellation. Finished phases that you have accepted remain payable. We may withhold delivery of leftover materials you have not paid for.
12. Photographs
We photograph rooms to document progress and, with your permission, to show finished work to other households. Permission is requested in writing and is not a condition of doing the job. You may refuse, or you may allow photographs that do not show faces, artwork, or identifying details. You may withdraw permission for future use by email. We will stop using the images in new pages within a reasonable time. We may not be able to recall a photograph already printed in a leave-behind that is already in someone else’s hands.
Project photographs on this website are of finished spaces and of the people who work with us. They are not a promise that your room will be identical.
13. Workmanship
We will perform the agreed work in a careful and workmanlike way, using the materials named in the estimate, and we will return to correct items on the punch list that are our responsibility. A punch list is written at the daylight walkthrough. Cosmetic preferences that contradict an approved sample are not defects. Ordinary wear, new stains from household use, and changes in natural materials as they acclimate are not defects.
Manufacturer warranties belong to the manufacturer and run on their terms. We will pass those documents to you. Our workmanship commitment is separate and covers the installation we performed, for the period the estimate states. If the estimate is silent, the commitment is one year from the walkthrough for workmanship defects you report by email, excluding damage caused by leaks from systems we did not install, by impact, or by cleaning products we warned against in the care note.
To ask for a return visit, email hello@getbettasoon.com with the room, the date of the walkthrough, and photographs if you can. Please do not hire a third party to alter the work and then ask us to warrant the alteration.
14. Limits
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost rental income, missed events, or the cost of staying elsewhere, unless a written estimate you accepted expressly takes that on. Our total responsibility for a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, except where a law does not allow that limit, including responsibility we cannot disclaim for personal injury caused by our negligence.
Articles, sample ideas, and planning ranges on this website are provided without a warranty that they fit your house. Use them as background reading. The only commitments we make for a specific home are the ones in an accepted estimate and its change notes.
15. Intellectual property
The Get Betta Soon name, the house logo, page text, illustrations of process, and the arrangement of this website belong to us or are used with permission. Project photographs are ours subject to the permission rules above. You receive no license to use the logo or to imply that we endorse another business. You may share ordinary links, including the social sharing buttons, which simply pass the public page address to the service you choose.
If you send us a testimonial or a photograph of your own, you give us permission to quote the words and show the image in connection with describing our work, unless you say otherwise in the same email. You can ask us to stop future use, as with project photographs.
16. Links and sharing
The footer and the top bar include sharing links to other services. Those services are not ours. When you use them, their own terms and privacy rules apply, and they receive the page address you asked to share. A link from our page to another site is not an endorsement of that site’s entire content. We are not responsible for third-party pages that change after we last looked at them.
17. Acceptable use
Do not use the website or the mailbox to send malware, to harvest addresses, to impersonate another person, or to request work that would damage a home, evade a required specialist, or mislead a household. Do not submit another person’s email to the subscribe tools without their permission. We may ignore messages that break these rules and may keep a copy long enough to understand the problem and protect other households.
18. Ending these terms
You may stop using the website at any time. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date. The version in force when you accept an estimate governs that project, together with the estimate itself. Website-only rules, such as how forms behave, follow the version posted when you use the page. If a change is material and we have your email because of an open project or a note list, we will mention the update in the ordinary email thread. Continuing to use the site after the date of an update means you accept the new website rules.
Either you or we may end a project conversation before an estimate is accepted, for any reason, without a fee. After acceptance, cancellation follows the estimate: work performed and materials ordered remain payable, and we will leave the home safe and as closed-up as the stage of work allows.
19. Disputes
Please write to us first. Most disagreements about a room are solved by looking at the estimate, the change notes, and the punch list together. If we cannot resolve a dispute by email, it will be handled under the laws that apply where the work was performed, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and in the courts or tribunals that those laws provide. Nothing in this section limits a right that a household cannot waive. Website-only disputes that do not involve work in a home will be handled under the laws that apply to the operator of this site, again without a waiver of rights that cannot be waived.
These terms are the whole website agreement. They do not replace an accepted estimate. If a sentence here conflicts with an accepted estimate, the estimate wins for that project. If one sentence of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stay in effect.
20. How to reach us
Email hello@getbettasoon.com. Please use a subject line that helps us route the note, such as “New kitchen,” “Estimate question,” “Subscribe,” “Unsubscribe,” or “Punch list.” We do not provide telephone support or a published street address. For the way we handle personal information, read the Privacy Policy.
